INSANE

INSANE is a choreographic piece inspired by the presence of spirits, monsters, and ghosts invoked during festivals and rituals. The performance immerses the audience in the mystical state that overtakes a person during rites, where men and women attempt to influence the mysterious forces of nature—while confronting primal emotions of fear and infernal terror. As evil spirits are driven out and dancers move in a raw, visceral rhythm alongside the souls of the dead, INSANErevives dance as a sacred, mysterious, and ritualistic act.
This is the third collaborative work between the French dance company and Šeiko Dance Company, created together with Alban Richard. The piece not only explores universal human themes but also highlights the close partnership between the French Embassy, the French Institute in Lithuania, and the city of Klaipėda.
