Out of silence

What remains when sound fades away? What emerges before the first word is spoken?
“Out of Silence” is an intimate contemporary dance experience in which the body becomes thought and movement becomes language. It is a moment of women’s solo works, opening up different inner worlds – sensitive, fragile, sometimes sharp, yet always truthful.
The performance invites us to capture the moment between “already” and “not yet” – that space in time when silence has just ended or has not yet begun. Here, movement arises from a state of being: from memory, embodied experience, unspoken questions, and personal stories.
The bodies on stage resemble frozen thoughts. As we observe them, we gradually begin to hear ourselves – our breathing, our reactions, our inner silence. A delicate and intimate connection begins to form between performer and audience, where roles and distance dissolve.
This is not a narrative with a plot.
This is presence.
The performance is composed of a series of solo “tableaux”, each reflecting a distinct inner landscape of a woman:
Yellow – presence and calm, time, slow breathing, a space where freedom is born.
Red – past and present, beauty and anger, fragility, transformation, and self-trust.
Blue – childhood memory, mystery, routine, and constant movement in the “here and now”.
White – stillness, silence, change, forgetting, and the pulse of a new beginning.
Each viewer interprets these images in their own way – through their own experience.

The work can be performed as a set of 4 solo performances, or by selecting solo works individually (1, 2, 3 or 4).

The premiere of the performance was presented as part of the Lithuanian Season in France in the city of Chambéry. The work can be performed in a variety of spaces – theatres, galleries, or non-traditional venues where the audience can be close to the performers.
