A dance and circus performance for children “Friendship Planet” – a journey into the world of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. The performance is designed for children aged 3–5.
Can a planet fit in the palm of your hand? Can creativity become a rocket into the far reaches of imagination?
“Friendship Planet” is an invitation for young audiences to embark on a unique artistic journey, where the boundaries between reality and imagination dissolve. This is a performance-as-journey, where the story of friendship and discovery is told through the language of contemporary dance, circus, music, and visual art, inspired by the work of Čiurlionis.
This distinctive educational project brings together professional artists and the youngest generation – children become not only spectators, but active participants. They are invited to explore, touch, and create together. On stage, there are not only performers, but also interactive installations, unexpected objects, and a sensory environment in which the children’s world merges with Čiurlionis’s artistic universe.
Čiurlionis is not only Lithuania’s most renowned artist, but also an eternal dreamer whose paintings and music breathe mystery, inviting us to think, feel, and create. In 2025, marking the 150th anniversary of his birth, this performance becomes a bridge between generations, introducing young audiences to the luminous, sensitive, and colourful power of creativity.
“Friendship Planet” is a safe, playful, and immersive space. It is not only the first contemporary dance and circus performance of its kind for very young children – it is an experience in which every child becomes a creator.
